Hankook Ion Evo (IK01)

The Hankook iON evo is a high performance summer tyre designed for electric vehicles. It features a high rigidity profile and tread design that provides exceptional grip in dry and wet driving conditions. The iON evo is also made of a compound specifically made for electric vehicles to evenly spread road pressure and extend tire life.

Performance features

• Reduced noise: An “i Sound Absorber” foam layer inside the tyre reduces cavity noise by up to 9 decibels, creating a quieter ride. The tread pattern is also optimized with “Opti Pitch Technology” and “Noise Guard” technology to minimize tread pattern noise.
• Low rolling resistance: Optimized tire components and “EVolution Compound” with high-concentration silica reduce rolling resistance. This helps extend the vehicle’s driving range.
• Enhanced grip: The tyre features an “Aramid Hybrid Reinforcement Belt” and “Grip Boost Technology” for superior grip and handling. This increases cornering stiffness by 10%.
• Superior wet performance: Expanding lateral grooves and an optimized groove size are designed for excellent water drainage and wet grip. The tire has achieved a Grade A rating in the EU tire labeling system for wet grip across all available sizes.
• Even tread wear: The “EVolution Compound” helps to evenly distribute pressure across the tire, promoting a longer lifespan and more consistent tread wear, which is especially important given the high torque of EVs.
